Yoh Reports Tech Wages Stabilize in First Half of 2009

PHILADELPHIA —October 6, 2009—Technology wages trended slightly upward in the second quarter of 2009, according to the Yoh Index of Technology Wages. Wages increased 1.07 percent year-over-year, supporting evidence that wages may be on the rise as we move into the next quarter.

"Wages in professional and technology sectors remained stable, but this does not indicate that the recession's impact on the workforce is complete," says Lori Schultz, President of Yoh. "We continue to see a demand for highly specialized, technical workers. Paired with the stability we've seen in associated wages, this leads us to be cautiously optimistic that economic restoration is in progress."
